As a self-proclaimed foodie, I was really excited to acquire this fancy flavor book set for my kiddos (1yr, 3yr, 4yr). When looking through the book, I was definitely thinking about the real-life counterpart.Content wise, most of the items in the Gourmet Rainbow and Seafood Rainbow books are easily recognizable to my 4 and 3 yr old. But food like escargot and caviar are not. Yellow clams are also not common where we live...even I had to look it up. It was also bit odd to me that most items are pretty specific but then there's "roe".The spices book was more unfamiliar to my 4 and 3 yr old but it gave us an opportunity to discuss what types of food contain those spices (ex saffron in paella or fenugreek in curry).These board books are sturdy and is surviving my 1 yr old's rough handling. It is not chew-proof though so make sure your kiddo is not gnawing on it like a teether.

This Rainbow Books Fancy Flavors Collection is the cutest little board book set for future gourmets. My son and DIL will be expecting in 2026. They're multicultural, multilingual, and multifaceted so in addition to the old favorites that I've kept from his childhood, I'm adding books on food, space, insects, animals, languages, science, etc. They're also foodies so these books should be a hit! This collection introduces babies to foods of every color with vibrant images and memorable rhymes, making eating new foods an adventure and not something to be apprehensive about.

These are well made board books with bright colors and good thick boards. The fun rhyming text introduces interesting foods as it teaches colors. Perfect for the food loving family!

What stands out is the thoughtful inclusion of diverse food categories. My 2-year-old was intrigued by the different spices and seafood items, which sparked curiosity and questions about tastes and textures.

I'm a dietitian so I thought this would be perfect for my baby, to teach colors with food and spices. Quality books with good color and pictures.

Got these for my soon to be born nephew. Beautiful colors. Baby and adults will enjoy reading this and introduce awesome food for baby to try. The colors are nice and bold. Just as advertised. Sturdy thick pages so baby can read and play.

I'm so glad I got these books for my readers. They absolutely love them. Super interesting things inside not like usual books. Also well worded and rhyme. Such a cute gift for kids. The books says age 0-4. But it's more for a 6-7 year old. However both my kids love reading them.

We got these books because my toddler loves naming her colors and loves cooking in the kitchen with her dad. One of her favorite activities is taking down all of the spices and smelling them while they are cooking. That being said, we didn't have a lot of the spices because they are a little obscure. We also liked the gourmet book, but it is tough for a toddler to relate to since she has never seen roe and isn't interested in prosciutto. The seafood book was a little more appealing to her because there were animals in it. I'm actually allergic to shellfish so we don't have it in the house despite the fact that my husband and daughter love it. So I'm hoping that this book gives her more of an idea of what is out. I have another set by the same author and I wish the style was a little more similar to those books. The illustrations on this are beautiful, but not as endearing to a toddler.

One of my favorite images ingrained in my head from childhood is an alphabet book the G page being grapes. I was thrilled to find a modern and unique take on that with this 3 piece set. I had contemplated buying one of these books for the little but then when I saw it way in a 3 pack it was perfect!It is a wonderful way to teach colors, words with images and expand their palette through learning about spices and foods. Allowing little ones to pick and choose food and items is a great way for them to try new things in a way that feels like they feel comfortable.The colors are all nicely well pigmented. The images and words are all clear easy to see and read. Board books are the size and weight anticipated. With the toddler friendly thick pages and rounded edges.Love this and would go out of my way to recommend!

This book is such a gem! It's not just fun and colorful, but it also teaches little ones (and even us parents!) so much. And honestly, the price is very fair for the quality.

Food is a big part of me and my husband's life. I love cooking and exploring new food. I want to introduce that love to my son. These books are a perfect way to do that! I love that it introduces the idea of spice and color and helps baby learn about taste early. I like that there is also a seafood and colors book. I don't eat fish but I don't want that to keep my son from eating seafood so I like that he can still learn about something I truly have no clue about. The gourmet book kind of made me chuckle — we probably won't be purchasing caviar or black truffle for everyday dinners, but glad he can learn about that! This would make for a great book for any chef, any cook, or any person who loves food/is a foodie. It's a fun way to introduce color into your baby's learning. Overall I love the design of the pages, the learning style of the book, and how vibrant colors are interwoven into the book. This is a great book set and I'm happy we were able to get these!

Wonderfully colorful foodie book set. The content is great, the books are very well-made, and the information in the books is fascinating for the kiddos. The only downside is the price point, which is a bit high for kids' books.

These rainbow gourmet board books are so fun and unique. My kids love them, and it would be a lovely baby shower gift for any foodie in your life! The rainbow set is such a fun way to introduce new foods to a toddler or young kid.I just wish they had a set with ALL of their books. Though even just as a 3 pack, they are pricey. That's the only reason for a star deduction.

We actually had these from when they were put out as cards instead of book format. I liked the cards fine, but the books are better. They're different. Honestly, the subject is a bit advanced kitchen vocabulary for little kids, but perfect for older young kids who are already familiar with the idea of seasonings and that there are lots of different foods out there. The illustration is attractive and the phrasing is rythmic
